  • Even Butterflies Bleed.

Perched on top of the iron nails that crucified our Jesus is a Monarch butterfly. It is said that to see one is a pretty good sign that you are on the right path in achieving your goals. Good to know! When my children were younger, they brought in a cocoon from the garden. A mason jar, grass blades, a stick and a lid with air holes made up its new home. Soon enough a Monarch butterfly emerged from the cocoon releasing a blood red liquid. Science says it was digestive juices but to a child it bled as it was born to live free. This crucifixion cross made up of iron nails, a symbol of hope and rebirth through metamorphosis. Jesus bled. For us to live free. The Native American woman’s ribbon skirt, a symbol of hope and rebirth through metamorphosis. They bled. For their people to live free. All sacred. To our Creator. God. He has seen. He has heard. He promises... Acts 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. Out in the western Hills of South Dakota this painting came forth. From my camper I had visions of Native women dancing in a circle to the Great Creator, God. Yep! Ours. The One and only. Some of these beautiful women were wearing a ribbon skirt where others were wearing a jingle dress. All dancing in praise of Our Father. From multiple sources came the prayer over and over again as I was led to paint this. It is called To Bleed. Created in oils in for Our Father at the request of The Holy Spirit who validated it through Luke 11. 1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. 3 Give us day by day our daily bread. 4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. 5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;... You have me. Until the other side then or at the bakery. Whichever comes first. • Can you hear it? The sound of FAITH!

As God's chosen king over Israel, David is also the son of God ("I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me...” 2 Samuel 7:14). God entered into an eternal covenant (treaty) with David and his line, promising divine protection of the dynasty and of Jerusalem through all time. It has long been contemplated that the First Nation and Native Americans are of Davids tribe. I beheld an audible vision to paint a dress adorned in jingle cones in a worship dance to God. The original jingle dress dance is said, by the Ojibwa peoples, to have originated through a medicine man's prayer and meditation for a young girls healing as he was given a powerful vision about a sacred healing dress adorned with tiny cornets from the Creator. God. OUR God. Not my God or his God or their God but THEE GOD. And to dance in worship just as in 2 Samuel 6:5 “And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.” This man first made the cornet shaped jingles from chewing tobacco can lids, rolled into cornets and as he bent and rolled each jingle, his faith grew. He prayed for this child who had succumbed to a disease that had already killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide and more than 600,000 in the U.S., including thousands of his fellow Native Americans in 1918 and 1919. When the dress was finished, the women danced for her in prayer to God our Father. And in Gods divine mercy she was healed. It was not the dress. It was not the jingles. They are but tools of the vision. It was by his faith. Interesting that I have been tasked to paint its story during this new pandemic. • 10 minutes!

I had a vision of ordinary regular doors rising up from the sea. Portals. A means to enter or exit depending on one's perspective. These are the gates that of the Bible's book of the prophet ,Ezekiel, prophesied that the city "the Lord is there" will have twelve gates, one gate for each of the tribes of Israel and that the exiles from both Judah and Israel would return to Palestine and a new covenant would be made with the restored house of Israel, to whom God would give a new spirit and a new heart. I was concerned as I worked on this as it had no verse, no song, and the inkling of a title. But the directions still flowed as to what kind of door and what color to assign it continued. I noticed that there were to be no double doors. All doors were single access only. There were waves yes, but not gentle ebbing waves. There were building waves for a storm is brewing in the distance and the sky is darkening. And after weeks of working on this, the day came when I had a pretty good idea that it would soon be finished. And there came the song! Your Love Has Lifted Me Higher by Jackie Wilson Your love, liftin' me higher than I've ever been lifted before So keep it up, quench my desire and I'll be at your side forevermore You know your love keeps on liftin' higher and higher. I said your love keeps on liftin' me Now once I was downhearted disappointment was my closest friend But then you came and he soon departed and you know he never showed his face again That's why your love keeps on liftin' me higher and higher ... As I sat down to write the story of this painting called Ezekiels Gates (yay! we have a confirmed title!), a memory is brought forth from when my daughter came over with her family. As our visit would draw to a close she would inevitably give out the warning to her toddlers “10 minutes!” signalling that the time is here to pick up the toys, to find their socks and shoes and to get ready to go home. As with all little ones, procrastinating was inevitable amidst pleas for just one more snack, just “one more minute mom so we can play” and to my heart leap “ mom can we spend the night?” On one particular day the 10 minute warning was met in a giant dose of toddler sheer frustration “I don’t know what that means mom!” Then dad stepped in and got eye to eye level with the frustration and said simply “ it means put your toys away now. Find your socks and shoes and put them on now. It means it is time to go home now. It means that there’s a stop for a treat because you are cooperating.” It all seems to logical and easy. Just do it. Comply. Cooperate. Dad said. And the verse arrived! Thank you Jesus! Ezekiel 3:12 Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard a great rumbling sound behind me, “Blessed be the glory of the Lord in His place.” Doors signify communication and agreement. When a door is open, there is communication with God and others. When the door is closed, the conversation is over and the action has been met. Oh but there are thirteen doors illustrated here. There in the corner is an innocuous little wooden door, symbolic of the crucifixion cross and standing on the rock. Jesus, our only open door. In Revelations 3:20 it says "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." Sooooo...your ship has come in and is waiting. This is your last call for as it speaks in Luke 21 and verse 25 in particular "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;" Oh and the boat... aptly named Carpe Diem. Let Jesus lift you up. He will not let you down. Blessings to you until the other side then. • Another Day Till Paradise

Give me Jesus give me Jesus. You can have all this world But give me Jesus And when I am alone oh, when I am alone, And when I am alone, give me Jesus Give me Jesus, give me Jesus. You can have all this world but give me Jesus. ~Author unknown. And this is called Yeshua's Cairns. He is your guide. This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad. Stacked rocks, Cairns, along the trail are a marker signifying you are on the correct path and serve as a guide or offer signage to keep you from becoming lost. This is your sign from Yeshua, which is the Hebrew name for Jesus. It means "Yahweh [the Lord] is Salvation. " From Hebrews 13:12 "So too Yeshua suffered death outside the gate, in order to make the people holy through his own blood." As I paint this I hear the song ‘In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus.’ Now for a little backstory! We were sent back to the Black Hills of South Dakota for two reasons; my husbands work of rebuilding bridges and God had more for me to see and pray on. I returned to the Center of the Nation and sadly the windpipe was gone, but that didn’t stop the winds from blowing over the vast prairie or from the Holy Spirit from giving me another assignment. As I stood in this empty place where the green pastures spread out as far and wide as any sea, I lived Psalms 23. 1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. • The Road Less Traveled. GO!

Isaiah 66:22, "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the LORD, "so will your name and descendants endure".Interesting that "The Center of the Nation" in South Dakota is celebrated 22 miles away with an official granite monument in a proper Visitors Center. Obviously more convenient as it is closer to major highways, parking lots, rest rooms, as well as the local pizza joint. I visited the true center known as being " a small metal pole stuck into a pasture, off of a gravel road". Surrounded by sheep. A sea of grass. And a sign lettering YESHUA. But it was the stacked rock holding a rugged wooden cross that brought about the memories. Seems like I've heard this scenario before but it involved a manger. And out here in the the middle of nowhere, I felt like I found my way home. I walked out to the wind pole and listened as I recalled my childhood hearing my gram singing hymn "The Old Rugged Cross". ...On a hill far away, stood an old rugged Cross The emblem of suff'ring and shame And I love that old Cross where the dearest and best For a world of lost sinners was slain So I'll cherish the old rugged Cross Till my trophies at last I lay down I will cling to the old rugged Cross And exchange it some day for a crown Oh, that old rugged Cross so despised by the world Has a wondrous attraction for me For the dear Lamb of God, left his Glory above To bear it to dark Calvary... 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. Yes! There will be a new heaven and earth. Go! Step through the gate. I look forward to seeing you on the other side. And this is The Center. Blessings till then. • The Corseted Sisters

They came to me, announced yet still a surprise, as two sisters who spent their life together entertaining others and were now ready for not so much a new life but a different life. Dressed up in a statement piece worthy of any Haute couture constructed by hand from start to finish, made from high-quality, expensive and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable of sewers—often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. They met up with the country girl where cotton is not only queen but reigned in her own atmosphere of “put your feet up and stay awhile“. They were taken one by one for their makeover as these fine ladies were to bestowed upon two other little ladies who too shared so many events as a gift to rework from their great gram to their gram to their dad to their other gram in remembrance. underneath all that stitching painfully revealed previous work worthy of whalebone stays with a “dressmaker”style meshed with an abundantly used electric staple gun creating a task that rivaled a veterinarian pulling porcupine quills. this one has stash pockets! and this one has the bling!! sisters for sisters, so different, so the same

  • Be easy on yourself.

"...You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." — Max Ehrmann, 1927 Excerpt from Desiderata Just as the Bird of Paradise plant unfolds one new leaf at a time, given enough room to spread out and unfurl its great leaves, and then blooms for a bit and then rests for a bit, so to does the path we walk here. In Colossians chapter 2 it says 2 "I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God's great mystery. 3 All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we've been shown the mystery! 4 I'm telling you this because I don't want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or "the Secret." 5 I'm a long way off, true, and you may never lay eyes on me, but believe me, I'm on your side, right beside you. I am delighted to hear of the careful and orderly ways you conduct your affairs, and impressed with the solid substance of your faith in Christ. 6 My counsel for you is simple and straightforward: Just go ahead with what you've been given. You received Christ Jesus, the Master; now live him." Everything of Jesus cries out for us to be at peace. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” ... "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." And it is the one thing that we as His children struggle with. He says it does not have to be that way. Read you bible. This is WOVEN. Unfolding one leaf at a time and creating the ultimate path. "...With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy." and I will see you on the other side. Blessings. • How about them apples?

I paint for Jesus and as He decides. However, I have painted on occasion for commission. I was approached to recreate a complicated photograph of a tree that reflected into a pond. It was beautiful! And I agreed. As I began to study the picture and began to think about how to sketch it out, I noticed it was a reflection of a reflection and heard a big "NO!" from the Holy Spirit. I questioned Him, and He replied that nothing of God is a reflection of itself. That is the devil's domain as he tries to imitate the Father's beauty by creating a perversion of it. Sneaky! Since I had agreed to create a piece for the person, I asked if it was still okay to do something from Him for them. He agreed. And this piece came about with my first big lesson on strongholds. I heard its name, Balm, as in a sweetness that heals wounds or reduces pain. When J. C. Philpot preached on Jeremiah 8:22 in 1852, he pointed out that God's grace is always greater than our sin: "There is more in the balm to heal than there is in guilt to wound, for there is more in grace to save than there is in sin to destroy." Strongholds are defensive structures and can be either a good thing as in 2 Samuel 22:3 My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence." (KJV) or a bad thing as in "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds." 2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV) The devil calls us by our sin. God calls us by our name, and I was shown fifteen apples representing sins bobbing down a stream of honey, reminding me of Proverbs 16:24, "Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones." And God's grace is always greater than our sin:" (KJV) All these apples were going the same way, some floated higher, some seemed entrenched, yet all were interconnected by the ripples each other made. All reflective of Adam and Eve's original sin. Yes, that apple. Entrenched. A pretty good description of a stronghold. Not budging. Dug in. Adamant. Fixed. Deep-seated. All keeping the barriers to God in place. They are readily seen in ongoing arguments with the people who ruffle our feathers. If we look at ourselves, we may find the culprit hiding in these same feathers. But those are the easy ones. If God is walking with you, He is also teaching you to align your thinking to see Him clearer, that it may be you and not them. The harder ones come off an enlightened, politically correct, divisiveness, fear, health-related thinking, control issues, any extreme thinking, and so on. I finished the painting and presented it to her, free of charge and she was dismayed and would or could not accept it, which is okay. She still saw it. She cannot unsee it. As in all things God, His light never dims. Ever. For more information on strongholds, please see Max Lucado as he describes dealing with strongholds at https://maxlucado.com/strongholds/ Now lets get to the good part!! Romans 8:38, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Woot! See you on the other side!! 🎶 Row row your boat. Gently down the stream. Merrily, merrily, merrily, Life is but a dream. 🎶

  • The Seven.

In 2017, I saw seven ancient earthen lamps perched on the Western Wall in Israel in the midday sun. I could feel them radiating the heat they had absorbed for centuries. I could smell the old air they contained. I understood they had been used just as long to wail prayers to our God. I saw the prayer notes tucked into the crevices of the wall as reminders to God to not forget His promise. And then this painting, called The Seven, sat for four more years. And then, in 2021, it was time to finish it as its verse sanctified it from Isaiah 11:3, came "He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears;." These vessels, each representing the seven manifestations of the Holy Spirit, are associated with the ministry of Yeshuah; and prophesied by Isaiah. The three fires are noted in Isaiah 11:2, "And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;" for the fruits of wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge, fear of the Lord and judgment. This prophetic painting, a wall to stand by to wail righteous prayers to God, will benefit spiritual warfare to win in the ongoing wars with the powers of darkness. The symbol for this season is to be a burning light as a waiting, watching and winning warrior connected to the high frequencies of grace stepped down to contain in our fragile vessels of clay that only God be glorified as we stand in prayers by Zion's wall. Burn brightly for Jesus. And I will see you on the other side. PRINTS and GICLEES available at https://www.propheticsgallery.com/store-warehouse/art_print_products/store-warehouse-g7fxzfj0ydw

  • Blood Diamonds

THE BLOOD DIAMONDS. This is the Parable of the Tares. Matthew 13:24-30 Identical plants, almost. Where the wheat will nourish life, the tare will cause severe illness. The parable says that during the final judgement, the angels will separate the sons of the evil ones (tares) from the sons of the kingdom (wheat). How to tell the difference? Philippians 2:10, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth. The wheat...bows when ready for harvest. The tares...will not. From the chaff of the wheat comes the diamonds. In Matthew 3:12, it says “that He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” And from this fire comes 9 diamonds, symbolic for the fruits of the Spirit, red from the shed blood of Jesus. 1 John 4:4 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. 4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. 5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. JOHN 10:27 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me”
