Can you hear it? The sound of FAITH!

Denise R Dahlheimer

As God's chosen king over Israel, David is also the son of God ("I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me...” 2 Samuel 7:14). God entered into an eternal covenant (treaty) with David and his line, promising divine protection of the dynasty and of Jerusalem through all time. It has long been contemplated that the First Nation and Native Americans are of Davids tribe.

I beheld an audible vision to paint a dress adorned in jingle cones in a worship dance to God. The original jingle dress dance is said, by the Ojibwa peoples, to have originated through a medicine man's prayer and meditation for a young girls healing as he was given a powerful vision about a sacred healing dress adorned with tiny cornets from the Creator. God. OUR God. Not my God or his God or their God but THEE GOD. And to dance in worship just as in 2 Samuel 6:5 “And David and all the house of Israel played before the LORD on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.”

This man first made the cornet shaped jingles from chewing tobacco can lids, rolled into cornets and as he bent and rolled each jingle, his faith grew. He prayed for this child who had succumbed to a disease that had already killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide and more than 600,000 in the U.S., including thousands of his fellow Native Americans in 1918 and 1919. When the dress was finished, the women danced for her in prayer to God our Father. And in Gods divine mercy she was healed. It was not the dress. It was not the jingles. They are but tools of the vision. It was by his faith.

Interesting that I have been tasked to paint its story during this new pandemic.

I hear the song Love Grows by Edison Lighthouse 🎶Her hair is kinda wild and free. Oh, but love grows where my Rosemary goes. And nobody knows like me...

Till the other side then.

Art! On the Outskirts is the new project of entreating mountains via

art on and beyond the canvas, exploring how faith, nature, and creativity intersect.

This project is a journey of discovering the depths of faith with art as a tool to sustain healing in my life.

I may not walk on water as Jesus did, but I am staying afloat through life lessons.

Go Back! this is THE END of my blog!

If the world was flat, you would  now fall off here :)
