- living hope
I have been rereading Ecclesiastes… what is standing out to me is the best they had at that time was to find scraps of joy and contentment in their lot. There was no such thing as hope. And then when Jesus was born… He came to save, to heal, to give the reality of a face to our Father… and to offer hope. Matthew 19: 26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Can you imagine not even having the thought to pray? 1 Peter 1: 3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, Praise to God for a Living Hope!
- an enemy of God
I had a garage sale… first and last even though it went well. People were nice and interesting. And God used one as a lesson… an intentional rule breaker because it suited her to abide by her presumed entitlements over the safety of others. “it is easier to ask for forgiveness than permission” while counting on that Jesus forgives all… nope! nope! nope! for those who intentionally sin, who are neither ignorant nor weakness (and God is the judge on this) then they are intentionally choosing to be an enemy of God AND this is the “willfully sinning” that Hebrew 10:26 refers to—consciously and deliberately rejecting Christ, a sign of unbelief: “No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God” per 1 John 3:9 and the woman… we managed her behavior and left her to God to deal with on her own turf. one thing I am most assured in? Don’t play games with God.
- On my way
Psalm 73:23 reads, "Nevertheless I am continually with you; you have taken hold of my right hand." I have taken this verse at face value and put it into action (by faith) when having to attend events or meet people that are not in my normal wheelhouse. I pray in the likeness of St. Patrick with... Dear Jesus! Take my hand and Go before me to make the way safe and clear. Go behind me to bless my attempts. Go below me and crush the attempts of evil. Go beside me with your angels to flank me. Go over me to set heavens blessings upon me In Jesus name, Amen. Thank you Father. And then, proceed in peace. 1 Corinthians 16:13 ”Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.” We got to be vigilant and never be complacent! You never know what and how God will want to utilize you!!
- He can see you now
Do you ever pray and say Amen with the thought lurking, "I wonder if God heard me?" How often do you say, "I don't hear Him? I ask, and I ask God for even a smidgeon of a sign or word, and still, it's crickets." Today, we began our day once again "reviewing" the rising of old conflicts this past week that still confounds us as we give them to God over and over. We decided to put it on hold and served ourselves tea and coffee while reading the bible verse of the day, following up with the next reading in the Bible, which happened to be 1 Corinthians 10. Honestly, at the time of this reading, nothing really stood out and jumped at me. And that's okay, as sometimes God works in stealth mode. And then we each prayed to Jesus out loud, sitting together but separately. We each listed what was bugging us and, in turn, thanked God for each of the troubles as well. First, I prayed, and then my husband prayed. Our prayers were similar but different, but the needed results matched up well. After a few moments, my husband said, "As I was praying, I saw a young black cat out the window climbing high up in the tree. Maybe 20 feet. And then I watched it fall to the ground, get up and run off. Odd right? What do you suppose that was about?" I simply said, "Think about it." I wasn't being stubborn but obedient, and I also wondered myself as we rarely have any cats in our yard. God has tweaked my path lately in my mentoring a bit to cause others to think rather than just give them the answer. And so he did think about what he just saw. Within seconds he said, "What we were praying about, what has been oppressing us, just literally left." Yep! Ding! Ding! Ding! Woot Jesus! I said on the inside. On the outside, I only said, "See? You do recognize God." One of the conflicts we had had... was over politics. For us, one being a type A and the other being a type B and one on this side of politics and the other on the other side, we long ago resolved this issue by the leadings of the story, The Gift of the Maji, where the wife cut and sold her long beautiful hair that she took great pride in to buy her husband a beautiful gold chain for his prized pocket watch only to find out her he sold his pocket watch to buy a comb for her hair... Selfless. And then someone came over and stirred the pot and wished to debate politics... it was nipped quickly and efficiently with a side dose of passing along this story as to why. God will take that seed and will cause it to bloom. And then again, God made Himself clear... He spoke... through the Bible this time and not a black cat... 31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: 33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. God is the only truth. And He recorded it for our benefit in the Bible. "Give none offence..." Not over anything. Every single word we speak outside of the Bible... is only an opinion... and you know what they say about opinions. ;)
- Raining in Paradise
" Stay the course " is a phrase used in the context of a war or battle meaning to pursue a goal regardless of any obstacles or criticism.~Wikipedia In the beginning... this was supposed to be Paradise. And then somebody said something and God honored the free will of those He created. I hear Casting Crowns sing "I was sure by now God, You would have reached down And wiped our tears away and Stepped in and saved the day. And once again I say, "A-men" and it's still raining. But as the thunder rolls I barely hear Your whisper through the rain "I'm with you"and as Your mercy falls I'll raise my hands and praise the God who gives And takes away..." and I will rally my faith and stay the course set for me with only praises from my life. This is called Stay the Course and of His Hand and Sail Away. Acts 20:24, " But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God." I will Stay the Course, and praise you in the storm. Till the other side then. Blessing.
- No void for Fido.
I saw in a vision the white door. And behind it is the glory of God. And I knew our beloved creatures go to heaven. Unlike man who chose to sin, they were not banished from the Garden of Eden. In Mark 9:23, Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” In the beginning per Genesis 1:27, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and u u subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every thing that moveth upon the earth." And God spoke the human, the fish, the fowl, and the four-legged beasts all into existence. All on the sixth day. To live together. Then due to sin, Genesis 3:24 says, “So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life". What remained was the river, the garden, and everything else. In Isaiah 55:10 it says, “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." Nothing God speaks returns void or becomes empty. And because God is only love, He loves. In James 1:17, it specifies that, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning ." Our furry family members are a gift to be treasured and loved. Scripture tells us that when we die we will not be alone. Angels accompany us on our journey to heaven if that is where we are called. In one of Jesus’ parables, He talked about a poor man who suffered a great deal during his time on earth. When he died, Jesus said, “the angels carried him to Abraham’s side” per Luke 16:22. And in Isaiah 65:25 that in heaven, "The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the Lord." And this is simply called Come. The first lesson. The last act. btw... reminder... the animals were never banished from Paradise... Till the other side then.
- Mission of Mercy
The lowly donkey. Made into a clown for our amusement by western “civilization“. For the rest of the world, only the kingly could ride upon the beast. It was a donkey that carried Mary and her unborn fetus, Jesus, to His birth in Bethlehem. And to His death as told in Mark 11:2, “And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.“ I saw the the untamed donkey waiting to carry The Christ near the red door for the Triumphal Entry. I saw the Horse commune with the lowly creature reminding it that in its weighty burden is the hope of life that comes from this particular death. But is it the White Horse of Revelation 6:2, ” And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.”? Or is this the Pale Horse to usher in the next and final Triumphant Entry as spoken of in Revelation 6: 8, “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Or is this the Holy Spirit? And are we the donkey? This is called A Mission of Mercy. Why the 30 rose petals? tick tick tick… Till the other side then. PRINTS and GICLEES COMING SOON !!
- Grandma Love. Need it. Want it. Gotta have it.
Never underestimate the power of Grandma Love! After I began this painting I learned of Grandma Margaret, of the White Earth Nation, and well remembered by her family for the owls she collected and subsequently inherited. Why she collected them is unknown to me and all that matters is that they bring back memories of love to hers. Ahhh the love. We all seek to love and be loved. And most of us desire one more moment with our gram. It is an international/globally cultural common phenomenon. Just as all cultures know of God our Father, the creator of the heavens and the earth and revere Him with a different face, a different robe, but with the same love, the same heart, the same adoration. The same Jesus. So there I was out in the Black Hills of South Dakota in 2019 for an extended stay waking from a dream to create another specific painting. In obedience, I sketched and as an owl emerged and had settled itself on a crown of glory at total peace and doing just fine. Well okay then! Good! Thank you Jesus! I saw behind it black and white stripes which represented recognition where for some tribes Jesus is depicted wearing a prayer robe of black and white stained with the red of His blood. The crown is adorned with seven red wooden beads, two of which remain hidden, and representing one young man's journey of a boy from a tragic birth to a tragic death as a man. Scripture from Ephesians 2:4 states "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions-it is by grace you have been saved." I have come to understand that this painting is a gift of mercy from the Holy Spirit to a family that grieves their son. Aptly named Owl Always Love You" it shares that yes indeed that is well with his soul. Luke 23:43 And Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you, Today shall you be with me in paradise". I hear in my Spirit the song 'It Is Well With My Soul' by Audrey Assad... ...My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought My sin, not in part but the whole, Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul It is well (it is well) With my soul It is well, it is well with my soul... Because of Gods grace and mercy, it is indeed. Punctuated by James 2:13 "because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment." https://youtu.be/0vMQGiIoaq8 We too can look forward to our own crown of glory. James 1:12 "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the LORD has promised to those who love him." Yes this young man had demons plaguing him his entire life and yet never gave up on Jesus. Yes Jesus. He really does love you more than grandma. But then she learned it from Him and she passed the love on to hers. They remember. She made a difference. PRINTS AND GICLEES available at https://www.propheticsgallery.com/store-warehouse/art_print_products/store-warehouse-iry0a0m31jk Blessings to you with Jesus in your heart and yes we will meet up on the other side.
- And the rains came
From Ezekiel 34:26, “ I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing, and I will send down the showers in their season; they shall be showers of blessing.” This is an original oil called Bring The Rains In its creation, I heard the song by Mercy Me singing... 🎶 Bring me joy, bring me peace Bring the chance to be free Bring me anything that brings You glory And I know there'll be days When this life brings me pain But if that's what it takes to praise You Jesus, bring the rain🎶 Jesus will most definitely bring you the rain. https://youtu.be/e8HgAVenbUU
- a cry from the desert
This original oil called Hubris depicts the vision I saw in 2016 and rested on the back burner until it was released to me to recreate a few months ago. The vision consisted of a pyramid suspended in the air whose base had been eroded by the living water. The vision reminded me of the crumbling of the modern-day Pharaohs due to self-glory of their self-awareness. This piece, Hubris , is defined as the exaggerated pride or overinflated self-confidence we mortals contend with since The Fall, which still stands as the best example of hubris. In the Bible Satan's sin that led to his downfall is described in Isaiah 14:12 "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." But we are redeemed per 1 Corinthians 15:52, "in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 so when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” God always wins.
- Thinking caps mess up your hair.
There have been lots and lots of clips and political videos being bandied about. Ask questions. Get answers. How does what "they" say line up with... The TRUTH. It steps eagerly forward and presents itself. One subject. One answer. The products. Fewer ingredients are best. Like the God diet. If God made it, the odds are in your favor over human-made. The human diet. The more human touched it, the more likely it is not good for you or will cost you extra. More ingredients make more money. (I.e., cell phones. Could have been made as a stand-alone indestructible item, but then the new industry of cell phone paraphernalia would be non-existent, and somebody would be out billions. The politics. Who will be the one to speak for your voice? Whoever... Whomever... you choose, make an intelligent decision. You will answer to God for your choice. Oh yes you will! Is your candidate worth your immortal soul? Like health. For years, it was plenty of fresh air, good God food and exercise with a dose of rest, and Vitamin C from orange juice, but now it appears that humanmade has messed around with the chemical structure of simple orange juice and tainted it, and lots of water but now you need to be careful on that too as humans also messed with it as well. ). Z- packs, antibiotics, vaccines, prevent prevent prevent. Big money, massive money is made in preventing illness. And human hands are all over it. Look at cigarettes. They used to be simple tobacco and rolling papers and fairly organic. Then someone had an idea of adding filters out of the new fiberglass and growing more, better, and faster by adding in chemicals to birth a whole new industry which in turn created another new industry for treating the body for the damages done. Like politics. The emotional and irrational thinking is to vote for this one because you hate, dislike, cannot agree with, and have no respect for the other one. Keep in mind that we will each answer to God for our choice. Weave through the emotionally clinging egos. They Evade. Blame. Defend. Is there enough of the truth to get you to begin to listen? Keep in mind what you hear, you cannot unhear and attaches to your reasoning. Think about it🔥 Pray on it.
- a “Blaze” of Glory
This oil painting called A White Muzzle is a tribute to a good dog's life. Gilda Radner, comedian, once said, “I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.” She was right. Blaze lived his life out loud. He was a great neighbor. And his people… lived dominion Jesus style per Genesis when God gave humanity dominion over the animals, it was in order to care for, tend to, and use those animals to their fullest potential in a just and loving manner. A portion of the print sales for A White Muzzle will go to the Humane Society. #artontheoutskirts #propheticsgallery #adogslife #whitemuzzle #dominionjesusstyle
- we all win
An interesting thought… according to Romans 8: 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? This does not mean He chooses sides in politics or competitive games. Its when we live as servants to and for our Jesus that nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ be it tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, or sword. The end of the troubles happens when we all live as Christ’s servants. This is where the love is. And where there is love, there are miracles
- hurdled
Yesterday at my granddaughter. Sugar's track meet I filmed her heat and caught on camera a girl from the other team next to her who had pulled a hamstring oh ouchhhh and fell. And oh she cried!!! it was awful!! It looked so painful I even cried! and i didn’t even know her! The video also shows the girl getting up and finished walking, well more like hobbling to the finish line with a champions heart. Later at dinner i mentioned to Sugar that I had caught the incident on camera but she was tired and blew it off. I had the split second decision to react offensively or just ignore it. I chose to ignore it completely and never gave it a second thought. The first thing this morning I got a text from her asking for the video probably to see if it was as she lifted her leg to jump causing her to fall thru the hurdle. So what is our place when we witness a fall? Our place is to do the "right thing" and as Gods servants, He will let us know what to do or what to say per Luke 12:12, "For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Yes it all happens by divine design while walking confidentally forward on our path with faith that we are hearing our instructions correctly. Being a servant for God allows blessings to shower all and mightily when we just show up willing to help because we had "the idea" that perhaps it was a nice day to watch a meet. But because as it says in Romans 3: 23, "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." and we all have "been there and done that" we are given grace and sometimes a do-over because as it continues in 24 Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins." This my precious Sugar also knows all to well as she had her knee buckle last year in a heat and fell short of the finish line. She worried that she had given in to the pain causing her regret at not being able to finish. But what she sees as a failed race, I see as her turning point for now her compassion has kicked in to high gear as she is first to run to others who fall. She instinct to help others up to try again went in to full bloom that day. I am so incredibly proud of her. She has the heart of a champion and she loves Jesus. With more like her, I am confident that we will be okay.
