  • the Offering.

Kiki Dee sang "Ain't got no trouble in my life, no foolish dream to make me cry. I'm never frightened or worried... I got the music in me..." Like a thunderbolt this hit me! I felt the electrical charge. My heart raced. My fingers tingled all the way down to my toes. And it is the music that will hold the church together. From 1 Chronicles 17 came 12 He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne for ever. 13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: 14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore. Reading the Old Testament is a real struggle. God's children were...are... a real challenge. Repeatedly I asked God "what gives?". Even lofty David, the beloved King of Israel. Adulterer. Murderer. And then finally repentant of his sins Thankfully as it says in 1 Samuel 16:7 " The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart. " I saw the thorns as Christ saw them as he hung on the cross. I heard His last breath as He said “Father, Into Thy Hands Commend My Spirit.” He died for the church. And I saw heaven rejoice! The angels sang. Hear the fanfare of the trumpets ! There was one heavenly explosion of joy upon joy that the Son of God enacted the ultimate gift of love for Gods children. He is The Offering as in John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. JESUS! In the plan and from the beginning. Just like most parents, even God knows the strengths and weaknesses of His children. And He loves us. Anyways. We are His World! We are His Church. We are His window. And the song played in my heart by Louis Armstrong and I see in my hearts memory Louis on the television holding his trumpet and my gram sitting there in her rocking chair singing along over and over "...and I think to myself...I see trees of green, red roses too I see them bloom for me and you And yes I think to myself What a wonderful world..." Ohhhhh... yeahhhhh. There are only five things that make the angels in Heaven rejoice. When God said, “ Let there be light. ” (Job 38:7). The night of the Lord’s birth. (Luke 2:13-14). Whenever a sinner gives His heart to the Lord. (Luke 15:7,10). When the Church arrives in Heaven. (Rev. 5:11-12). And when the Lord defeats His enemies on Earth and returns to reign. (Rev. 19:6-7) Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Thank you Jesus from the top to the bottom of my soul.

  • I’ve Got The Music in Me

This came to me in a dream and is called Cast-A-Net and is reflective of the book of Isaiah chapter 11. In verse 1 it prophesies the return of the Messiah "A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit." We are to be assisted by the seven spirits of God in the construction of Holy Spirit spoken of in Isaiah 11:2 and 3. 1) the Spirit of wisdom 2) the Spirit of understanding 3) the Spirit of counsel 4) the Spirit of power 5) the Spirit of knowledge 6) the Spirit of the fear of the Lord 7) the Spirit of delight in the fear of the Lord. In verse 10 "In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious. 11 In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the surviving remnant of his people...". It came to me at 3 a.m. I was sound asleep and dreaming of casting nets over goldfish and awoke to the knowledge that this was to be my next work. The next morning a search of the scriptures for the casting of nets netted me around 35 verses but not one of them pertained to the dream I had. It seemed relevant that the goldfish is in regard to the strategic harvest and subsequent protection of His children and disciples. Psalms 91:1 says "Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. 3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence..." Folks its time for His disciples to cast the nets of Evangelism. The usual casting net is a circular net with small weights about its edges and to sink by design as it spreads out on the water. You are warned to uphold the nets you cast and to keep them afloat by the seven Castanets marked by Gods spirit. Castanets? Yes! A simple and common musical instrument that has been found on every continent for a recorded 2500 years and more but a little more vaguely. In 2 Samuel 6:5 says "David and the entire assembly of Israel were dancing in the presence of the LORD with all of their strength, accompanied by all sorts of wood instruments, harps, tambourines, castanets, and cymbals. " Make a joyful noise! With the help of the Holy Spirit share the love of Jesus with wisdom, understanding, counsel, power, knowledge, fear of the Lord and with the delight in the fear of the Lord. Be loud and proud as in Psalms 98:1. "Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. 2 The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.3 He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; 5 make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, 6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the Lord, the King. 7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. 8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; 9 let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity." In a nutshell, the Return of Jesus is imminent! Commit your ways unto the Lord and make a joyful sound! He's got this and you! And Flamenco music?! Be Passionate! Be Alive! By the way, it seems seaweed most commonly inhabits the part of the sea that is close to shore and thrives in the rockiest areas? True story. It kind of dies out in calm waters where the walking is easy. It just needs the son...

  • The call has been made.

It is written in EXODUS 3:14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM, This is what you are to say to the Israelites 'I AM has sent me to you.' " Exodus. The book of the Israelites finding their way home. The mass exit. Well... the first one. The Prophet spoke of a vision of seeing a tightly bound scroll sealed with seven waxed seals. Blood red in color and imprinted with I AM. Yes THOSE seven seals! It appears the first seal is now cracked from pressing by the one who is worthy. "What? Hey wait a minute! What is the meaning of these seals?" In cliff note version... One day in about the year 95 A.D. a man named John of Patmos had a vision from heavenly revelation given to him by Jesus Christ through an angel and sent off a "letter" it to the Christian community. He relayed that the seven seals he was shown represented the beginning of Christ's judgment of unbelievers on the earth during the Tribulation period. Each contained in the Hand of God until the end of the world as we know as spoken of in Daniel 12:4 "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." So in a nutshell...when God decides the time is right, as each is broken, a new revelation about the identity and qualifications of Jesus throughout the earth will be released. This one, the first will reveal the salvation though Jesus as the world is conquered by the false messiah, the Antichrist. The song Is He Worthy written by Andrew Peterson / Ben Shive sings... "Is anyone worthy? Is anyone whole? Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll? The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave. He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave. Is He worthy? Is He worthy? Of all blessing and honor and glory. Is He worthy of this? He is..." referring to Revelations 5:9 "And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Revelations! Scary stuff. End of days. End of us. Yet it offers comfort and encouragement to us Christians that our trials are neither in vain or unnoticed by His grace. Know that God's got this. Have faith. Say your prayers. Keep going. The evil that "seems" to rule over our everyday lives and thoughts will be utterly destroyed, and God's eternal kingdom will come into its fulfillment. The band REM sings... "That's great, it starts with an earthquake. Birds and snakes, an aeroplane, Lenny Bruce is not afraid Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn World serves its own needs, don't mis-serve your own needs..." As I was being told the story of this recent vision, I saw the scroll sealed by seven pushbuttons secured to a vintage British police Call Box. Those needing assistance could make calls via a telephone located behind a hinged door from the outside while the interior of the box was used as a temporary hold for detainees. Press One for the imminent arrival of the White Horse and the song continues...it's the end of the world as we know it. And I feel fine...". Is it well with your soul? You won't like what's coming next if you are not. Worthy is the Lamb. Answer the call. TICK TOCK!

  • Cluck Cluck Who's There?

This is the story of Peter also known as Simon Peter, one of the twelve Apostles of Jesus. He got the name "Peter" when Jesus said he'd build his church on this rock. "Peter" comes from the Greek for "rock." Yay! To be a rock for Jesus is not all fun and games and you will be put to the test. First came the warning... Matthew 26:34 "Truly I tell you," Jesus declared, "this very night before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times." Ahhh! The bravado... Luke 22:33 "Lord," said Peter, "I am ready to go with You even to prison and to death." Ohhh! The reality... Human weakness and fear tends to be our downfall. And just how many different types of chickens are there? Dozens of dozens! But not as many as excuses for denying Jesus in your life. With all the "I am not ready's" or the "yeah buts" or the reasons for why not, no matter the intensity or scale in our own minds, all excuses boil down to two categories. Weakness and fear. And no one knew it better than two of Jesus' own personal friends. Peter and Judas. Peter's story of a threefold denial of Christ is found in all four Gospels; Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. His weakness was his own human frailty. He was tired and fell asleep on the job. He had ONE JOB! To watch over Jesus as He prayed in the garden. And yet sleep took him over and Jesus was arrested. But to his credit, he did not abandon our Lord as the others did but then he would not walk with Him either. He held back and watched as a bystander as Jesus was being falsely accused, beaten, and insulted out of fear for his own safety. "Then they seized him and led him away, bringing him into the high priest's house. Peter followed at a distance and when they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat down with them. A servant girl saw him seated there in the firelight. She looked closely at him and said, "This man was with him." But he denied it. "Woman, I don't know him," he said. Luke 22. That was once! Okay I get it. We all have the tendency for self preservation and our human instincts can get the better of us. And given that the world hated Jesus, and Peter was finding out that he was not completely prepared to face the same persecution “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first” John 15:18. But then, "When the servant girl saw him there, she said again to those standing around, "This fellow is one of them." Again he denied it." Mark 14. That was twice! The third denial was to a number of people in the , is emphatic as he curses according to Matthew 26:73-75 After a little while, those standing there went up to Peter and said, "Surely you are one of them, for your accent gives you away." Then he began to call down curses on himself and he swore to them, "I don't know the man!" Immediately a rooster crowed. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: "Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times." And he went outside and wept bitterly. Three times! The prophecy was fulfilled. Yes Peter failed his beloved Jesus. Not once. Not twice. But three times and in the same night! I can not only imagine but understand his complete and total devastation at his human failing. But to Jesus, the bravado is not what is important. The intent of the heart is. How many times will the cock crow before you take the stand and say "Jesus is my friend and He is alright by me". A few years later the song by the Byrds song "...Jesus is just alright, oh yeah Jesus is just alright with me Jesus is just alright I don't care what they may say I don't care what they may do I don't care what they may say Jesus is just alright, oh yeah Jesus is just alright..." still resonates in me. So whatever happened to Peter, the Rock? after a struggle of guilt and grief, thankfully, and accepting the forgiveness of Jesus, he went on to become one the boldest, most influential and effective leaders in the advancement of early Christianity. "Peter said to them, 'Change your hearts and lives and be baptized, each one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is for you, for your children, and for all who are far away. It is for everyone the Lord our God calls to himself.' Peter warned them with many other words. He begged them, 'Save yourselves from the evil of today's people!' Then those people who accepted what Peter said were baptized. About three thousand people were added to the number of believers that day." Acts 2:38-41 "Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." Matt. 5:11-12 And this painting? A 16x24 oil on canvas depicting 3 roosters. One depicting having caught a silver coin in its mouth. One in an open mouthed protesting squawk. And the third? With its mouth shut. "Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble." Proverbs 21:23. But even if you cannot, Jesus still loves you and will meet you. Just as in James 3:2 "We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to control his whole body." So ask for forgiveness, accept it and move on down the path with Jesus. And I will see you on the other side. Oh and about Judas? Another painting. Another story.

  • Apples. Bad PR?

"Anyone can count the seeds in an apple, but only God can count the number of apples in a seed." Robert Schuler. Talk about a disaster in public relations! The reputation of the apple suffered greatly in the matter of Adam and Eve in the fall of man in the Old Testament. "And the LORD God commanded the man, 'You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die' " Genesis 2:16-17. This particular fruit was a favorite depiction of many an artist of the epitome of evil, lust and desire even though the apple was never really directly called out as the fruit of temptation. Yet the culprit here was the simple choice to feed on the tree of worldly wisdom and knowledge and reject God’s wisdom. “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” Col.2:3. Oh man! Come on you guys do you have any idea how hard you made life for the rest of us?!" I think to myself on the inside... But here we are. Going through one mess after another, yet finally we do not have to atone for our sins by butchering sheep and goats hoping that these sacrifices would be acceptable to obtain God's pardon for our foolish ways. And He did. God is good. God loves us. We are the apple of His eye! We are cherished above all others. “Shew thy marvelous loving kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them that put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of thy wings” Psalms 17:7-8. "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29 We are His world and He gave us His covering. He gave us His only Son, Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16. And the Tree of Knowledge was replaced by the Tree of Salvation. Jesus. And this the Holy Spirit aptly named COVERED. We truly are the apple of His eye. Psalm 85:2 "You forgave the iniquity of Your people; You covered all their sin. Selah."

  • Valley of Dreams.

Jesus said in 1 Corinthians 13:2 "If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing." The other day, a person of good intent sent to me prophetic words that spoke of looming hardships and rising mountains coming up on my path. Warning! Warning! Will Robinson. Warning! Sorry not sorry about the Lost in Space flashback ;) And if you fall for this well then thats where you will be. Lost in Space. First of all... God wishes no one hardships. The Holy Spirit brings no mountains to your life. He was sent to remind us about Christ and empower us to live in the light of the gospel. The Holy Spirit “speaks” to us both for our good and to God’s glory. He reminds us what Jesus taught, to glorify Christ, to show us the truth and to shed light on our sins so that we can ask forgiveness and become closer to God. The mountains are already there and He wishes to walk with you through them as well as up and over them. I hear the song "Go tell it on the mountain, Over the hills and everywhere. Go tell it on the mountain That Jesus Christ is born..." Not only born to save you but died on the cross for you to have eternal life and to know true love. This is called The Valley and it as the Holy Spirit showed me in a dream as to just how "we" would handle this "good word" that I was given and re-gifted back into the basket at the feet of Jesus. He said in in Isaiah 52:7 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion "Your God reigns!" He will walk your mountains with you. And it offers a beautiful view. Looking at life while standing in the valleys the mountains look huge. Looming. Casting shadows. Making your path shaded and causing stumbles. And sometimes fall. And what should seem to so easy seems pretty darn hard and hope seems muted. But it is not true. It is a deception. In the book of Isaiah 49:11 it says "And I will make all my mountains a road, and my highways shall be raised up." Go! Grab His Hand and let Him show you the way. And do not let go! Live the life God gave you and don't settle for less than good thoughts. So with that, I leave you for the moment with this thought... Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. from Philippians 4:8

  • That's A Wrap folks!

But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12 This piece began with the image of an ancient vessel in the color of pale aqua sea glass. I saw cracks spidering out threatening to shatter the vase but were quickly repaired with gold in the Japanese art form of Kintsugi that repairs broken pottery with gold as the breakage is treated as part of the beauty of an object, rather than something to disguise. At this point the thought of "covenant" spoke to me and I envisioned a rolled scroll held tight with a loop rather than a knot and stored inside the vessel. As water began to fill the vessel I saw one drop Christ's blood mixing in with it and creating wine. Curiosity as to what was emerging on the canvas began to take hold and in my physical self I saw this work representing ourselves as the precious glass vessel into which the ancient scroll, wrapped up like faith, became a part of us even though we have been cracked yet not broken, healed and more beautiful. The background was to be blue with white and wrapping the vase. What I saw was the Jewish prayer robe as described in Numbers 15, a Tallit, and in its four corners the Tzitzit to be a constant reminder to the Jews to be a distinct people, set apart for service to the one true God. I saw purple at the base of the vessel. Violets. Violets in the desert? And I could not find any reference in scripture to violets. But violets there shall be. Plot Twist! I had assumed I was creating either a Phoenician or an Canaanite vase but no! This is actually a priceless Roman cinerary funeral jar used in storing the ashes of two, presumably for a husband and his wife. Whoa ! So whats going on here Lord? So far we have the husband and wife, Adam & Eve possibly, to be stored as ash in a Roman jar, made by the same people who killed Jesus, holding a covenant from God. Even though the jar was cracked, it is now a functioning vessel, no longer used for death, the cracks have been sealed with the Blood of Christ mixing in with the contents defeating death. And it is all wrapped up with a ritual prayer shawl beginning with a young man's bar mitzvah to his final blessing when the shawl is wrapped around his body at burial. And then there is the tzitzit. The Book of Matthew describes the healing that took place when a woman reached out to touch the hem of Yeshua’s garment, which was Yeshua’s tzitzit. Wait! What about the violets? In flower speak, wild violets traditionally represent loyalty, devotion and faithfulness and they grow beautifully in the shade of the tree. They are as a representation of God speaking to Moses in Exodus 20 of His covenant, the ten commandments, demanding loyalty, devotion and faithfulness. And the violets will adorn His bride, being intertwined with the tzitzit, whose purpose is the exultation of God and His commandments, not the exultation of oneself and one’s observance, as the New Jerusalem. And the scroll... Hebrews 8:7-13 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. 8 Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 11 None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 13 In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. The folds in the prayer cloth... It is time for the Jewish Community to take their place with Christ. John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd . And then I heard the song "Tale as old as time. True as it can be. Barely even friends. Then somebody bends. Unexpectedly..." Thank you Jesus.

  • One spark'll do it!

I was raised with the attitude of what you say is what you get. You say you have a cold. Voila! You will have a cold. You say you will do well on the test. Yes you will do well on the test. Why? Well because words have power, be focused and intentional with what you speak giving no energy to the things you do not want and just watch how things start to shift! So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11 I dreamed this painting. It began with an all black canvas and a spark and evolved through the touch of my fingertips. And from the spark came the heavens and the explosion of golden nuggets. What we have here folks is a divine explosion of the Holy Spirit, the true spark of the Trinity. In 1 Corinthians 2:13 is says "And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual to those who are spiritual." Acts 11:15-16 “And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell upon them just as He did upon us at the beginning. "And I remembered the word of the Lord, how He used to say, 'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.' THE WAY YOU SPEAK TO YOURSELF MATTERS! John 20:22 “And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” “For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit” 2Peter 21 SPEAK, CHILD. THE UNIVERSE IS LISTENING.

  • The Linen Belt

This was a “do-over” instructed by the Holy Spirit to finish. It was the first of many I had burned in a large fire when I turned to fully embrace my life in Jesus In the 70s. Why? Because evil is real and insidious. Because of my lifes choices and the consequences that ensued, I felt that evil was also insinuating itself into my art. He Himself confirmed this when He led me to Philippians 3:7 But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ. And He gives back what He gives back to His child who has the appreciation that in all things that He is truly greater in me than the demons of this world. When God gives a vision, it never diminishes. This is the gates of heaven holding back hell. And the eye of the goat is watching. Jeremiah 13 Thus the LORD said to me: “Go and get yourself a linen sash, and put it around your waist, but do not put it in water.” Linen was the material of choice for the priests' garments bonding in purity the Israelites to God and as said in (Ezekiel 44:17-18) were symbolic of Israel's holiness as a "kingdom of priests" (Exodus 19:6). To wash it represented trying to undo sin. Oh but then God says to Jeremiah in 3 Then the word of the Lord came to me a second time 4 “Take the belt you bought and are wearing around your waist, and go now to Perath and hide it there in a crevice in the rocks.”5 So I went and hid it at Perath (river) , as the Lord told me. Well okay. But then! In 6 Many days later the Lord said to me, “Go now to Perath and get the belt I told you to hide there.”7 So I went to Perath and dug up the belt and took it from the place where I had hidden it, but now it was ruined and completely useless. Wait! What?! Ohhhh... there's the lesson. In Jeremiah 13:10, God himself makes that clear when he connects the ruined belt to the spiritual status of the people: “these wicked people who refuse to listen to my words, who follow the stubbornness of their hearts and go after other gods to serve and worship them will be like this belt—completely useless!” Working on this piece was like I was trying to remember something. It was on the tip of my tongue but I could not speak it. I continued painting the thoughts that came to me and knew sooner or later it would be revealed to me. I saw the prison cell. The Stars and Stripes appeared to be caught up in its bars. Even as this country was based on "IN GOD WE TRUST" we allowed this to be only a motto on a dollar bill. The linen belt itself was like our path with Jesus. A little holy. A little back sliding. A little church persona. A little sinful pleasure. Call it a drunkards path or the scenic route or a work in progress but the truth is we tend to wander away from our bond to God counting on His endless patience and forgiveness. And the belt finally snaps. This is the finished product of the last painting I began 30 some years ago. I never finished it. I burned it. Along with every painting I had done up until then. Looking at hell then was a little too much. Looking at what was being prophesied to me then was too much as well. I was scared. Scared straight to Jesus and I only had eyes for Him. This is called Trigger Point. The goat is watching and waiting for your bond as well as the bond of the United States of America to God to finally snap. Tick... Tock. Well? What are you waiting for? • Fireplace update!

Now I see why they paint brick! I still have the semi-floating fireplace but too much floating and the whole design concept was up in smoke.

  • You can only take so much sheetrock.

Cottage cheese ceilings. Flat ceilings. Textured ceilings. Drop Ceilings. False ceilings. So many ceilings. Enjoying a timeout with Du in a tiny little bar in the old part of town, I noticed their ceilings. Tin. Ancient. Classic. Painted! Oh my heart be still! This is the studio bathroom so the design choices are as free to roam as any childs bathroom. So with a nod and a touch of homage to Vincent, Du and I set out to finish 'er up. \ WIth the cabinet found in one of those small town treasure shops, we brought it home, rearranged the drawers to accommodate plumbing, made out own ladder towel rack, put a granite counter top on it, refused the gray, white, beige and bland "resell value thinking" on the tile floor and shower and tinned the ceiling located and shipped up from Texas and think that they are the piesta de resistance! I like how it accents the recycled pallet wall nicely I think. AND THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED!!
