Why yes I believe I will have another.

Denise R Dahlheimer

"They" say some people are born old, that they have accumulated wisdom beyond their years. They have a taste for the classics, look to history to resolve current problems and believe in happily ever after no matter what. And in true love. They hold out for the best, waiting for it rather than settling for less.

This is an oil commission called Danny’s Cup. The cup... the old church basement/diner style where folks commune with other folks. Where being just you is plenty good enough and "we are all pretty happy you came on down" as it captures the essence of his family cabin time. He is a good man whose cup truly runs over as in Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

And he sets the example for his treasured children as in “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Josh. 24:15.

His love of his family, past and present and bestowing honor upon his elders shows up here in an older wooden handmade dock rather than a factory kicked out aluminum version. The party lights? Reflecting Luke 11:33 "No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light." And the red boat? His SS Kelly. His unsinkable ship. And it is waiting to take them both fishing. Just like some are meant to be fisher for men, others are meant to just hug them up. And as always, all good things come to those who wait.

This was a labor of love and I thank God for this good man. I look forward to seeing him and his on the other side.

Art! On the Outskirts is the new project of entreating mountains via

art on and beyond the canvas, exploring how faith, nature, and creativity intersect.

This project is a journey of discovering the depths of faith with art as a tool to sustain healing in my life.

I may not walk on water as Jesus did, but I am staying afloat through life lessons.

Go Back! this is THE END of my blog!

If the world was flat, you would  now fall off here :)
