I had a conversation with my gram who was just 99 at the time about sharing a room with my mom at the Good Samaritan Home. She said “a mom is never done being a mom and a daughter is never done being a daughter.”
To make this a more pleasant experience both sides need to do their part, which also applies to dads and sons, moms and sons, dads and daughters.
The Bible spells it out that this is rooted in love, respect, and the promise of well-being for those who follow…
“Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.” - Colossians 3:21
““A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish child brings grief to his mother.” – Proverbs 10:1
Life is a lesson in forgiveness and grace.
