I saw the Rose of Sharon from the Song of Solomon 2:1: "I am the rose of Sharon..." and began to recreate it with brush and paint. Each abstract petal was red for true love, and as I painted, I heard the vendor commercial for 'Cotton - the fabric for your life' jingling in the back of my mind.
I saw ordinary rose petals spinning into the folds of flowing fabric, creating wrinkles. Aha! FABRIC! Wrinkled with time. Wrinkled in time. Red for glory. Red for blood. Red for war. And then came the verse, "And they stripped Him and put a scarlet robe on Him." Matthew 27:28 (NKJV) Red for "He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God." Revelations 19:13 (NKJV) Oh yes, our beloved Savior wearing red, lined with pure light.
As I continued to paint, I saw footprints appearing and walking into the center of the flower. Whose are they? Ours? Yes. And the hand? The hand of God. We are part of something genuinely divine and time is short. Look for Him. " And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 (NKJV)
And this is called A WRINKLE.
Blessings, and it'd be nice to see you on the other side.
