No coal for you!

Denise R Dahlheimer

Did ya know? Rosehips are an accessory to the rose! They begin to form after a successful pollination of the rose and then more are propagated from these hips by removing the achenes that contain the seeds from the outer coating and is sown just beneath the soils surface. Then it is time to chill for a season or two before they will germinate.

And did ya also know? Diamonds are created in the core of the earths mantle and pushed up to the surface through by a deep source volcanic eruption and have been dated being much older than Earth's first land plants, where the origin of coal also happens to coincide. In Genesis terms, diamonds were most likely created early in the day of Day 2 (9 And God said, “Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so”).

So no! Our hearts cannot be compared to black coal! We are formed at the center of all that God created and rest in His mantle. Like His diamonds! He treats kindly and gently. Man chips and stresses. What?! Wait?! That cannot be true!! Whining, nagging, harping! All that will surely show Gods grace and melt that heart and get "them" on the straight and narrow. Nope! Nada! Nein! No!

This is the First Fruits. James 1:18 He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.

I saw a rosebud with an underlayment in a shimmer of gold, a treasure. Red for true love. This is you. There is none like you nor ever will be again. You matter. Make the most of your life. And the rosehips? The first fruits of the Spirit, the nine attributes of living in accord with the Holy Spirit, according to chapter 5 of the Epistle to the Galatians: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Your heart is His most treasured diamond. It comes from Him. Not coal.

Hebrews 3:7 “So, as the Holy Spirit says “Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness, 9 where your ancestors tested and tried me, though for forty years they saw what I did. 10 That is why I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘Their hearts are always going astray, and they have not known my ways.’ 11 So I declared on oath in my anger, They shall never enter my rest.’ ” 12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ...

And then came Jesus. And it is our mantle to share out the joy of Christ. Jesus. Yep the smiling one! He rejoices in us. He delights in us.

So smile. Be happy. And we can meet up on the other side. :)

Art! On the Outskirts is the new project of entreating mountains via

art on and beyond the canvas, exploring how faith, nature, and creativity intersect.

This project is a journey of discovering the depths of faith with art as a tool to sustain healing in my life.

I may not walk on water as Jesus did, but I am staying afloat through life lessons.

Go Back! this is THE END of my blog!
