how did I know that

Thoughts ruminating around for a third book...

There are downsides to being a seer. First, most think you are nuts or off the chart by a click or two, and that's fine because I don't work for them; I work for God. His opinion is the only one I am interested in. And because of that comes the second downside, a seer simultaneously works in passing along messages from the spiritual realm. One of the most important guardrails we need to embed into our thinking is listed in 1 Corinthians 12:10, "to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing (discerning) between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues."
About this discerning... "To discern spirits is a supernatural ability enabled by God's Holy Spirit that allows a person to determine the source of a spiritual manifestation, whether it emanates from God, the devil, the world, or humans. If we have this gift, God will reveal information about the presence or absence of spiritual entities. Usually, people regard this gift as useful for detecting evil spiritual forces or influences. It can also detect the presence or absence of angelic intervention or the prompts of God's Holy Spirit working within us."
I John 4:1, he writes, "Beloved do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." We are commanded to examine any spiritual teaching thoroughly with our critical faculties to see whether the presenter is accurately handling the Word of God. Because evil spirits have the capacity to produce paranormal phenomena, the Scriptures exhort us to prove or test the spirits, proving all things, holding fast only to what is good (I Thessalonians 5:21).
Now then... you are most likely aware that demons/curses can, or will, dog a family. It is in the first paragraph of their job description to create dissension and chaos from things said, claimed, gossiped about, tattles, etc., and to share it with those who make their job more difficult, like me and others like me, who can see them and pray them to the sanctions imposed by God.
Of course, I eventually catch on to "the who said what to who... whom..." after the stinging of my feelings subsides but not before dissension rose up under the guise of "why do I even bother?" even knowing that these demons operate in the shadows of lies. However, the thing about really good liars is that there is enough of the element of truth in the lie to make it believable.
So yes, when "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I (meaning God) with them.” from Matthew 18:20, also know that demons lurk to tell on you. So keep it clean! Remember from my first book, Trade Secrets of a Seer, the story in Mark of the man who was healed because of his friends' faith... The devil wants you thwarted and even better if its from your own mouth.
After all, the bible warned us of this in 1 Corinthians 4:5, "Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops."
The bible really does have all the answers and warnings.
