The crucible is for silver, and the furnace is for gold, and the Lord tests hearts. Proverbs 17:3

Ecclesiastes 12:6 Remember him—BEFORE the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken;
The silver cord of light is often associated with the connection of the soul to our Father in heaven. 1 Thessalonians 5 says "You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness."
Silver was once the price of redemption required to redeem the elect family of God back unto God. In Exodus and Zechariah, the amount to compensate the master of a lost slave was 30 pieces for 30 days of earnings. In Matthew 26, Judas sold out Jesus for 30 pieces, a month of wages, and the last time the Bible mentioned silver being paid for ones redemption. Redemption now comes only through Jesus Christ directly.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16. And in return we are to follow 1 John 1:7 "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." John 19:5 “Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!”
Jesus is our Light. Our Thread at work in us just as in 2 Timothy 2:20 "In a large house there are articles not only of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. 21 Those who cleanse themselves from the latter will be instruments for special purposes, made holy, useful to the Master and prepared to do any good work."
Everyone is a vessel. Either a vessel of gold or silver for honorable use or a vessel of wood and clay for dishonorable use. There is no middle ground, we are either one or we are the other. Choose. And then live accordingly. “There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up” according to Proverbs 21:20 so clean yourself up because guess who's coming?
Be gold baby! BE GOLD! And I will see you on the other side.”
